The ppaulets and cups move in tandem, which means the shoulder cups are attached to the epaulets with coated webbing, allowing the cups and epaulets to move together, maximizing flexibility. Hinged in the front to allow each side of the pad to move independently of the other; if the right side goes up, the left doesn’t necessarily follow. That produces maximum mobility and flexibility.
